KERKOUANE:
This
site was excavated in 1952 and is listed by UNESCO as a
World Heritage Site. This
punic town was destroyed in 236 BC and is located 8 km (5
miles) north of Kelibia.. There is an adjoining museum housing
pottery, jewellery, wooden carvings and funerary statues.
